Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport

...for the children...

The Junior Auxiliary believes that caring for a child today makes an important difference, not only at that moment in a child's life, but for the future.  This belief has been the driving force behind the efforts of the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport since its founding 59 years ago. 

As we look around us and see the growth and renewal in our lives and community, we are reminded daily that adversity can be overcome by both giving and receiving assistance and working together toward common goals.  We know the children of today are the leaders of tomorrow.

Last year, our 53 members served more than 14,750 children and their families through over 6,300 volunteer hours.  Our members make a difference in the lives of our local children in numerous and compelling ways: securing medical care for a child with a severe and debilitating skin condition...introducing our national award-winning SMILE dental awareness program to over 1,600 students, helping a mother or three move out of her car and into safe shelter with her children..and helping rebuild a playground to give children a safe place to play. 

In providing these and many other meaningful services, we are aiding children in their journey to a brighter future as tomorrow's leaders.  For the coming year, we are continuing these efforts through the implementation of new and existing service projects that make a difference and break the cycle of dependency.  

 On behalf of the members of the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport, please accept our sincerest thanks for taking the time to visit our website and learn more about our mission.  If it were not for the support of our community and caring individuals on the Coast and beyond, we would not be able to make a difference in the lives of those who matter most, the children.
